(no subject)

So Marina and Deborah (sales reps) decided to (secretly) get me a gift card to Barnes & Noble for doing their ads for them and "doing good work". It was very obvious now that I look back on it, that they were up to something, since all of the sales reps were asking me what sorts of books I like. It feels a little like they're sucking up to me, but overall I'm pretty happy about it and a little embarrassed. But I refuse to refuse book money! Ah... what should I do with my $20? If they had the Skip Beat volumes I need in my area I'd go for them, but they don't, and of the series of manga I'm reading, the next one (Kitchen Princess) comes out in July. Ah well, I will find a use for it, I'm sure. I always read and eat during my lunch break because it helps me relax, so they're convinced I'm an avid reader. Well, I'm glad I've gotten into the habit of reading again, since high school and college killed my desire to read almost completely.

Also, Jake's birthday was today! He's ten years old. (Already?)

I also bid on the Skip Beat! volumes I'm missing. Won books 3 and 7, so I'm gradually closing the gap there. Only need 4-6 now until volume 19 gets translated. ^^

Probably won't be online much tomorrow as I STILL haven't really packed. I am infamous for this. I don't know what I want to take, okay? iPod, books, manga, video game... some form of clothing, camera, drawing materials... totally lost cause after that.
