1. Do you like this character?

ad_libitum_log and memento_eden. I get the impression that she's some mixture between being strong and in control (a soldier) and being cute and feminine (eh, she's a girl at heart, is she, maybe?). She's pretty easy for me to relate to, since we're both usually serious, somewhat dull, and try to act grown-up. (Well, maybe I don't always act mature...) I think we both have that sense of responsibility to look out for other people, and both have an awkward time showing it. I like how she's modest about herself and doesn't flaunt her figure as most big-busted anime girls seem to do. We also both have a weak spot for cute things... =D Because who doesn't like cute things?
2. What name/names do you call this character?
Just "Tear". Sometimes I'll say something like "Oh the poor dear" when I'm playing the game(s) or watching the show or something. Actually "Mystearica" is a prettier name, but we go with "Tear" here.
3. What image-color do you associate with character?
She basically wears brown, but I think she'd look very good in PINK. It's hard to associate her with non-neutral colors. So yeah... brown. Or brown and burgandy combo.
4. What image-song do you associate with character?
They released an image album for the ToA anime recently. The songs are all very soft and it's easy to relate them to Tear or the fonic hymns. I remember the first time I listened to them, I could relate them to various cities and other scenes in the series, but now most of them just run together. My favorite is the title song "brilliant world" by ceui, though. I looked up her Japanese seiyuu, Yukana, recently, and I liked her song "Time Limit", although "Shiawase no Kotodama" is the one still stuck in my head. As for completely unrelated music... I'm not sure, but maybe Vienna Teng? It's probably too sentimental, but it has that soft breathy sound to it like in the ToA image album. Nothing else comes to mind. Sorry.
5. What blood-type do you think this character is?
A, I think.
6. Of all of the titles that this character appears in, what character do you like to put this character with? Mokona! (I know Memento Eden doesn't count.) Actually, Luke. I like how their relationship is sort of reversed from the norm. He's the naive one who doesn't know a whole lot about the way the world works, and she's the one who's been trained as a soldier from a very young age and seems to be quite experienced. It's just an interesting relationship no matter how you look at it, and seems to have a lot of different levels.
7. What would you want to say to this character?
Eh, well, I admire her strength and I think she's very pretty? How about "quit hiding your cuteness fettish, the male characters might find it adorable"?
8. Which do you want to do with this character: Shake hands, hug or kiss?
Shake hands... as the others would be way too awkward and I don't have a death wish.

Date: 2009-04-03 03:28 am (UTC)Yeah, it's Kotobukiya. =3 They're actually both Kotobukiya products. The small one's a One Coin trading figure.
The Petit figures are really cute, although I think they could be better paint-wise (same with the phone strap). I bought mine from an online store (Wizzywig) since I figured the ones on eBAY were most likely bootlegs.
I'd still like to find the Maid!Tear one and one of the normal Lukes (pref. short hair). So far I don't have any merchandise of him, but hopefully I can fix that eventually.

Date: 2009-04-03 11:55 pm (UTC)Wizzywig is usually one of the vendors at the anime conventions I've attended on the East Coast. When I ordered my figures from them online about a month or so ago, the order got processed right away and they arrived a few days after the package had been shipped out. I'd say it took a week or less for the whole process, although I can't guarantee they'd ship that fast. I was really surprised. XD
Shipping's a little steep, though, so it's best if you're buying more than one thing or else you'll be paying close to $10 shipping for just one or two things.
