Dad,
Chopping my weeping willow into itty bitty pieces until all that's left is about two and a half feet of stump.
Is just plain.
Unforgivable.
I love that tree dangit, what did it ever do to you? Huh? HUH?
::rage::
I know you're not dead just yet, my lovely, but please rest in peace even as you lay in pieces. T_T
I've always loved weeping willows and back when I had this fascination with imaginary holiday creatures, I mistakenly though we had received it as a gift on St. Patrick's Day as a child from the tricksy little elves. So yeah, I have always taken a special liking to "my own" willow because I knew one day it would be big and gorgeous and drop all the way to the ground in sweeping cascades. Big enough so that I could swing from its branches if I wanted. Climb it even. It never made it. =/
So much for keeping it around.

Date: 2008-05-30 03:49 am (UTC)I dunno. He was being a jerk and said the roots were both coming up out of the ground, making it hard to mow around and that the roots could get into the septic tank. Also said it was "growing crooked". And the only reason he didn't chop the whole thing up is because his power saw is broken. I'm just pissed cuz he didn't even ASK/TELL me. D:
He coulda just built a garden around it. Geez. I've always loved willows, so yeah.
