Used to:
+ Pokemon merchandise - I have three of the games, a bunch of the BK toys, a Vulpix plush, and a buttload of cards. Some magazines too, and I saved a lot of news articles, etc. I actually used to go play the card game at the local comic shop. I wasn't very good. ^^; But I did get into the top 10 once. (These were the people with the highest scores that got to do additional matches to see who the overall winner was each Saturday). I miss playing this game. Apparently the rules have changed and there are so many cards now that all of the old ones we had and old techniques we used are now illegal? XD (Ah, Alakazam, you and your damage swap.) Man, I remember whipping out my Charizard on people. Haha~! <3 I actually got two, but I promised the second one to my cousin. He never really got into it, and they're pretty much worthless now... ::sweatdrop:: I remember when the color scheme of the printing changed, so some of my cards (including the Charizard I kept) had the more faded background right after the 1st set of "1st edition"s or whatever, so they were supposed to be "more valuable". Anyway...

+ Dragonball Z merchandise - Figurines, T-shirts, posters, cards, quite a few VHS tapes, some magazines. A lot of these items were actually given to me as gifts, save the tapes and cards. I actually had good luck with finding "special cards" in some of the packs. They made these clear cel-like cards and I think I'm the only one of my friends who ever got any. (I think.) ^^; I remember we traded one another for our favorites. Like I would save Vegeta stuff for Amaya. I still have a bit of a fascination with this series, because it started a lot of things. It was like my first "TMM". Although, Pokemon was pretty big, too.

Still do:
+ TMM merchandise - Oh goodness, it's quite sad. XD I have everything from figures to finger puppets to furoku (paper boxes, stickers, and other items that came in Nakayoshi magazine) to production douga (drawings they scanned in to make the anime) and setting data (copied sheets the artists used to draw characters and items), TCG cards, plushies, the PS game, [read: 100% CLEAN!] doujinshi (fan manga), and a whole shelf full of Nakayoshi issues I bought from various people so I could get the color versions of the images featured in the graphic novels. I also collect clean/edited doujinshi images and fanart - I don't use them for anything. I just like looking at them. ^^; (For example that Kyr+Mushi commission still makes me go "wow!".) I sold a few items that I no longer wanted/had duplicates of/never used... but this was basically to have more money to spend on harder to find stuff... ::sweatdrop, sweatdrop:: My favorites would have to be my Ryou douga set and my Ichigo figurine (the really detailed one you see images of sometimes with the floofy hair). I'm also quite fond of my 2002 calendar but it
literally will not fit in any drawer. It's the wrong size. ::sweatdrop:: Maybe this is a sign?

+ "Tales of" merchandise - Not so big as the above. My main collection here are the Kotobukiya One Coin Figures. I managed to get Kratos and Lloyd (and the seller sent me Genis also, because she held my order back by accident), so somewhat recently I bid on the rest of the ToS ones from Yahoo! Japan. They're very small, but the paint jobs are amazing. And the detail. Only Kratos, Lloyd, and Sheena are the special versions (of course Kratos and Lloyd...). Sheena I got special because they were going for the same price -both versions - and nobody else was bidding on her. I also have Guy and Tear from Abyss that I got at Animazement last year. I'd like to get the special version of Luke... he is just so much cooler with short hair(!). I never liked him with it long. ^^; The Ion/Mieu one is also adorable. I have seen it in person but it was $20. e-e;; But it's like... impossible to find online. ^^; My mom tried to convince me to get Anise at the time. She was very cute too, but as Tear and Guy are my favorites from the game, I got them. Otherwise my friend brought me back a promo leaflet + card from Japan for the ToS OVA. I also have 3 day after tomorrow/misono CDs (kinda unrelated ;;) and I have a ToS:KoR magazine insert poster on it's way... hopefully.

+ Anime Figurines - Related to the above, mostly. I love them, but so many of them are REALLY expensive. I'd really like to get Yoko (Gurren Lagann) and Makoto (Kanon) one day. Ah... the catgirl!Nagisa CLANNAD figure is also very cute. I guess I like them because they're eyecatching and some are really detailed. I think these are much nicer than UFO catcher plushies, personally. ^^;

+ Manga - I like finishing series I like. Finished series include Full Moon, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Tokyo Mew Mew + a la mode, and Real Bout High School. I ALMOST have all of Wild Act. But I can't find the remaining volumes I'm missing anywhere. Currently collecting The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross. Yes, I really love Arinacchi's works. And I already mentioned my Nakayoshi collection. I wish America had phonebook mangas with all the extras and mail-in's like that. I'd totally subscribe to one. ^^;

+ Anime - I don't really collect it, per se, but I do own some anime DVDs/VHS. I'm more into collecting manga since I watch a lot of fansubs. I rarely read scanlations because I like holding books in my hands. I only read them to get a feel for a series, to read recent chapters that haven't been published in English yet, or for stuff that hasn't been licensed. Especially Wild Damon and Tales of Symphonia (and oyako doujinshi for this). Video games are the same way.
